Overview 

Are you a student in further education, looking to gain invaluable workplace experience? We’re offering a unique work experience programme designed to help you develop key employability skills and insights into a business services function. 

Business services often include teams such as: 

• HR, Recruitment and Learning & Development 

• Finance 

• Marketing, Communications and Creative 

• Administration and Reception 

• Health & Safety 

• Project Management 

• IT   

What We Offer 

• 50/50 Structure: Spend 50% of your time shadowing our corporate services team, gaining real-world experience, and 50% focusing on employability skills to boost your future prospects. These skills could include; interviewing, CV writing, presenting, time-management, digital literacy, self-marketing and more!   

• Flexibility: A total of five working days that can be completed over a single week or spread across five weeks, depending on your schedule. The scheme will be held sometime between April – June 2025, depending on your availability   

• Social Mobility Focus: This programme is aimed at students on bursaries, supporting our commitment to improving accessibility and opportunities for all   

• Accessibility: We’re dedicated to making reasonable adjustments to ensure everyone can participate fully. We’ll work with you or your place of further education to achieve this   

• No cost to you: There will be no cost to you across this scheme. Your lunches will be catered for in our free canteen on all days you attend the scheme. We will support you, where necessary, with the cost of travel to our site. We will provide you with any resources or equipment for the scheme.

Please note, we are only considering students who meet the following requirements: 

• Studying in further education within 30 miles of Cambridge 

• Receiving a bursary to support education

Applications will be chosen at random to reduce any bias and ensure fair opportunity for all. The information you provide will be used to develop a tailored scheme and will not impact your likelihood of being selected.
