Senior Analyst – Biotech/Healthcare

Introduction

Do emerging technologies and trends excite you? Are you interested in the difference between technologies that change the world and ones that seem full of promise but are never realised? Are you fascinated by the potential impact of emerging technologies such as engineering biology and innovative approaches in diagnostics, drug discovery and wellness monitoring can have on both human and planetary health? Do you have a curious mindset to dive into analytical projects, to generate real insight to help make these successful?

If so, then this could be the perfect role for you!

You would be joining the ‘Research & Insights Advisory’ group within Cambridge Consultants,  a critical part of the company, providing clients with strategic advice at the interface between technology, product innovation and the commercial challenges of business.

As part of this core team you would be delivering projects to clients in the Industrial Biotech, Sustainability, Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors. You’ll work with our technologists to ensure solutions are not just technically feasible but are desired by the market and commercially viable for the client’s business. Our clients vary from start-ups to multinationals, but all have an aspiration to use cutting-edge technology to disrupt their markets. What we do is help them succeed.

Our work delivers insights for key business decisions related to technology: developing go-to-market strategies, providing investment support, competitor analyses, market insights and technology road-mapping. This role will also work with the scientists and product development teams to ensure Healthcare and Life Sciences products/technologies can stand up in the complex, and changing, world of healthcare economics, sustainability and medical regulation. You will also have opportunities to work with some of the world’s best engineers, designers, and Human Factors specialists to develop concepts and provide market insight on how these concepts can meet the needs of tomorrow. This role would be focused on innovations in biotechnologies, healthcare, and sustainability technologies alongside their intersection with other emerging technologies such as AI, robotics and advanced materials. This could mean interviewing surgeons about robots on one day and analysing the commercial readiness of a biomanufacturing start-up on the next.
